We are a family-friendly environment dedicated to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose from the grave conquering death, so that whoever believes in Him may also conquer death and have everlasting life! Not saved??? Ask us how!

 

Our mission is to provide a safe environment where people can come together to buy, sell, or possibly trade with others for each other’s benefit. 

The vendors at this market are all local producers and craft persons from the surrounding area. Please help support local crafts made, local producers.  "The Country Church Farmers and Crafts Market is open to the public from 9:00 AM - 2:00PM the first Saturday of the month with the exception of January and February when the market is closed."

 

We also have prayer warriors on standby to help with any needs for prayer. Join us at the Information Tent and we would be delighted to pray with you.

COUNTRY CHURCH FARMERS AND CRAFTS  MARKET

VENDOR INFORMATION AND RULES

 

Vendor prices range from $35 - $65 depending on need.

Spaces are 10’X10’ and vendors are able to park directly behind their space or they can use the designated parking area for vendors.

All Vendors must follow Regulations for Texas farmers' markets contained in Title 25, Chapter 229.701-704 of the Texas Administrative Code (25 TAC 229.701-704).

  • Farmers and Ranchers may sell what they plant, grow, cultivate, and produce on the farm they own and operate within 150 miles of the Country Church, Marion. 
  • Artisans may sell what they invent, create, and produce within 150 miles of The Country Church, Marion. 
  • Value Added items may be sold if they add value to the Market and the product is produced by the Market Vendor within 150 miles of the Country Church, Marion. 
  • Non-Profit Organizations may sell items that are produced locally and shall not compete with other Market Vendors. Exceptions may be made for starter plants or produce grown locally by the organization. 
  • Independent distributors of commercial products from multi-level or network marketing companies will be denied. 
  • The Market Coordinator may make exceptions for products if the product cannot be produced locally. In this case, applicants must be directly related to the producer and live within the local area. 

 

BECOMING A  COUNTRY CHURCH FARMERS MARKET VENDOR 

Application Process 
• An application must be submitted. 
• Applications will be reviewed by the Market Team. 
• Vendor approval and items to be sold will be based on a variety of factors. In order to promote diversity in the market, we carefully consider established vendors in the same category, applicant's social media presence, perceived shopper demand, as well as the applicant's projected attendance commitment. 
• If the Market Coordinator requests it, the applicant must agree to a site visit/inspection. Responses are sent via email.

 

Response 
• Applicants should allow up to 3 to 4 weeks to hear if their application has been approved.  
• Applicants may check-in on their status or re-apply at any time. 
• If your application is accepted, the Market Coordinator will provide an email confirming approval and a copy of the application as well as a link for payment.

WHAT IS THE REQUIRED TIME-FRAME VENDORS MUST BE PRESENT? 
The Country Church Farmers Market is open from 9am to 2pm on the 1st Saturday of the month, year-round, with the EXCEPTION of January and February in which we will be closed. All vendors are required to be present at the Market by 8:00am, set up and OPEN by 9:00am, and may not break down until 2pm, even if they sell out of product. Vehicles are allowed in the venue, and space is set up to allow for a vehicle to park at their assigned location for ease of vendor setup and operation during the day. Once parked the vehicle CANNOT be moved until after 2pm.

WHAT ARE VENDORS REQUIRED TO SUPPLY? 
Vendors are required to supply their own: 
 If a 10’x10’ canopy is used, weights must be applied, weighing at least 25lbs per leg, but we highly recommend 40 to 50 lbs. per leg just in case the winds are higher than normal,

  • Table(s) if used with tablecloth(s), 
  • Chairs (if needed), 
  • A trash receptacle and/or recycle bin must be provided by Vendors producing trash. Please dispose of the trash generated in the dumpsters. 
  • Copies of Necessary permits and licenses required by the State of Texas and Guadalupe County for your type of product as needed.
  • Liability Insurance: "Certificate of Insurance" naming The Country Church, 1005 W. FM 78 (P O Box 421), Marion, TX  78124  as additional insured. (see attached sample)      COI Sample

RULES

"The Country Church Farmers and Crafts Market is a ministry of The Country Church and is operated by a team of volunteers. Our minimum expectations for all market vendors are that they are reliable, be set up to greet customers at the market opening at 9:00AM, and keep a good, positive attitude for the duration of the market hours. Market vendors are expected to comply with the market rules and regulations. Incidents of unruliness and verbal abuse will not be tolerated and will result in immediate and permanent expulsion from the market. The Country Church Farmers and Crafts Market is a “Family Friendly” area and all are expected to act appropriately."

 

  • No Products, Logos, Images, or Verbiage that would be considered anti-Christian or is profane in nature.
  • Rude behavior and foul language is not permitted.
  • No unattended children. All children must be accompanied by an adult for safety reasons.
  • Zero tolerance for Alcohol, alcoholic products, tobacco products (this includes vaping), and illicit drugs allowed on premises.
  • Vendors are required to always wear shirts and shoes. Vendors should wear clean clothing and present a professional appearance.
  • All vendors must display a sign in their stall that is clearly identifying the vendor. Other information may be included, i.e. telephone number, website, QR code, etc.
  • Electricity is available on a limited basis.
  • NO SAMPES PERMITTED
  • All food items must be properly labeled. No unlabeled packages of processed foods are allowed.
  • The vendor is solely responsible and liable for any claims and damages resulting from the sale of unsafe, unapproved, or unsound goods.
  • Vendors must supply all materials and containers for customer sales.
  • The Country Church Farmers Market team will determine eligible participation. All decisions are final.
  • Cottage Food Vendors are required to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate.
  • Cottage Food products MUST meet Texas Cottage Law labeling requirements.
  • Cottage Food products must be packaged in a manner that prevents product contamination.
  • Trash must be placed in suitable containers. No trash should be left in the market area.
  • Restrooms and hand washing is available on site.
  • It is the responsibility of the prospective vendor to complete, sign and return all required paperwork and fees. Incomplete packets will not be processed.
